STEP Provisional Performance data 2016/17 indicates a significant improvement of 20% across the Trust against the previous year’s results.
Key Stage 2 (KS2) outcomes for academies that have been with STEP between 2-6yrs have shown a pleasing year on year increase, indicating the positive impact of STEP Academy Trust on the life chances of young people and their communities. In relation to Multi academy Trusts nationally (MATs), STEP Academy Trust are outperforming other MATs by up to 20%.
The KS2 combined score is defined as children who have achieved the expected standard or above in reading, writing and mathematics by the end of Key Stage 2.
This year STEP Academies on average attained 73% KS2 combined attainment against MATs nationally who on average gained 47-50% in this performance measure. STEP Academy Trust have had some exceptional outcomes from Angel Oak Academy and Applegarth Academy where KS2 Combined attainment reached over 85%.
